Sewon (Stephen) Kim is Professor of Management in the Faculty of Business, where he teaches various OB/HR courses for the School for Graduate Studies. He received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. Dr. Kim’s research and mentoring interests focus on coaching, strategic talent management, organizational behavior and development, and global management and leadership. His scholarly work has appeared in leading journals in human resource and organization development related fields. He is a recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities and has received dissertation awards from ATD, AHRD, and Emerald/EFMD (Highly Commended). Dr. Kim serves on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Human Resource Management, the Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, and the Journal of Managerial Psychology. He is currently in his second term as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Human Resource Development Quarterly (2023 Impact Factor: 4.0).
