Michael Fortune is an educational technologist at SUNY Empire State College. He serves faculty, staff and students in the Saratoga regional locations, the School for Graduate Studies and the School of Nursing. Michael also serves as adjunct faculty for Empire State College in the areas of instructional design, instructional technology, social media marketing and music survey. He holds a BA in Music and a BMEd in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and holds a MS in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology from SUNY University at Albany where he completed his thesis “Web 2.0 tool usage as a Learning Activity among Nontraditional Higher Education Faculty." Michael also holds a Certificate of Completion with Distinction from the Open SUNY COTE Online Instructional Designer Program and is a SUNY COTE Fellow, in the role of Expert Instructional Designer. Michael's interest also includes a certificate as campus educator of Creative Commons licensing.
