Lorette Pellettiere Calix has been with the College since 2005. She is a mentor and teaches management courses in several countries with the College’s International Programs. She also directs the College’s program in the Dominican Republic. She has upper level managerial experience with non-profit, for profit and educational organizations, with over 20 years experience in international education. She was a principal investigator for the SUNY IITG funded project “Virtual Study Abroad” Using Meeting and Mobile Tools to Promote Student Engagement & International Interaction and collaborated on a MOOC for international online learners. In 2017 she was recognized with an OPEN SUNY COTE Effective Practice Award. She frequently presents and publishes articles based on her experiences with the blended learning programs in Latin America, the use of virtual tools, and the Virtual Study Abroad project.
