Anant Deshpande

Anant Deshpande holds a PhD in business administration from the University of Texas, Pan American. He is a Full Professor of Management and also serves as the Associate Department Chair of Management in the Management and HRM Department at the college. He also serves as the coordinator of the Undergraduate Certificate in Manufacturing Management and the coordinator of the Undergraduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship at the college. He has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of business and management including Supply Chain Management in the Global Context, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, Small Business Management, Managerial Leadership, Total Quality Management, Manufacturing Management and International Cross Cultural Management. Dr. Deshpande was awarded SUNY Empire State College Excellence in Full time Mentoring Award in 2017.

His research has appeared in numerous international peer reviewed journals such as Global Business Review, Journal of Operations and Strategic Planning, Asia Pacific Journal of Business Administration, American Journal of Management, American Journal of Distance Education and Higher Education for The Future, to name a few. His work has also been cited by numerous authors across the globe. He has published book chapters and presented at several national and international conferences including the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business, Decision Science Institute, Midwestern Academy of Management, International Conference on Business Management and Social Innovation to name a few. Dr. Deshpande serves as the Editor in Chief for the Journal of Human Resources Management and Labor Studies. Dr. Deshpande also serves as the associate editor for the International Journal of Business and Management and the International Journal of Business Research and Management. He also continues to serve on editorial board of numerous journals such as the International Business Research,  and North American Business Press. Dr. Deshpande has served as a consultant to both industry and academia and served on numerous grant related initiatives including Massive Online Open Courses (MOOC).
