Dr. Ward has decades of experience in the education of learners with complex support needs and intellectual challenges. Her research focuses on the inclusive practices and system change. After teaching for 17 years, Terri moved into higher education, preparing professionals for teaching positions, typically those who sought dual certification in special education and general education. Outside of the classroom, Terri advocates for policy changes at the federal level regarding education, employment, and independent living.
